Beautiful Folk Art Scene, Russian Women Fetching Water
8\" tall with 5 3/4\" octagonal shaped base, for tapered candles
Excellent condition! No chips or cracks (two very minor manufacturing \"issues\", see description)Hand-painted with a scene of four Russian women fetching buckets of water on yokes at the base, and spiraling up the pillar are fenced pathways leading to their village homes with trees and grass.
Beautiful colors, turquoise blue, brick red, light green, soft blue and brown on a creamy background.These are both in wonderful condition! The only issues I could find were from manufacturing, both in the darker turquoise trim at the base of the same candlestick. One is a very tiny shallow hole in the ceramic that looks like it was there before they painted so it shows up as white. It is not a chip, maybe a popped bubble in the ceramic. The second is a tiny high spot in the ceramic that shows as white because the paint settled around it. SEE LAST TWO PHOTOS.
There is also some wax residue in some areas, can be cleaned off.I accept PayPal only, payment is due within 3 days.
