This sale is for 2 Beautiful Vintage Handmade Patchwork Quilts
Each measures approx. 65inches X 98inches. Pattern ~ Grandmothers Flower Garden. The little patches measure approx. 1 inch across. Entirely hand pieced / sewn with ever so tiny stitches. Meticulous hand top stitch quilting at 10-11 stitches per inch. Between the toppers and backing there is a thin layer of cotton quilt batting. No rips, tears or holes.
One of the quilts has slightly more wear than the other. Second quilt pictured has some rubbing and wear on binding where the first one does not. First quilt pictured the fabric feels very crisp while the second one is a bit softer to the touch. Both are amazingly beautiful matching quilts.
Picture #1 is of both quilts together, Picture #2, 3, 4, 5, 6 & 7 of first quilt front and back, Picture #8, 9, 10 & 11 of second quilt front and back with picture #10 showing wear on binding. Last picture is of both quilts together again.
I took the time to hand wash both quilts then hung them to dry on the line. Quilts originate from the Hudson Valley, NY.
