MATCHED SET OF 2 VINTAGE 1962 SYROCO “WOOD” FLORAL ROSE PLAQUES –– carving & gold tone finish are in good condition – no parts missing, no chips.

If you saw these on the wall you would think it was beautifully carved wood, with almost an Italian or Art Nouveau style to the pieces.

Gold gilt finish on the plaques in good condition.

Each plaque is the same – not right and left sides.
Large whitish roses with buds and leaves.

SyrocoWood is a composition material, molded to look like wood. It originates from Syracuse, New York in the 1930’s to resemble the elaborate 18th Century French Rococo style. The company has a unique way to make the molded plastic look like a piece of carved wood with gold gilt finish. Back of each plaque is marked COPYRIGHT MCMLXII (1962), SYROCO INC, MADE IN USA, A4460.
There is a ring on the back to hang each one.

The plaques weighs about 3 ½ pounds total before any packing materials. The plaques are 18 inches long and ABOUT 12 inches wide.
They are 3-dimentional - not flat - each over 1 inch deep. ALL SALES FINAL. I am selling items that have some age to them. Naturally there will be irregularities and flaws, just because of the age. I will describe an item as best I can, and will try to picture any irregularities or missing parts, but ASK QUESTIONS BEFORE YOU offer!
