The middle tine is removable. Remove the middle tine and you can use it to weed both sides of your seedlings.
We included the pieces of the handles to make it easier for you to replace them. Bring to store for sizing of new ones.
The only thing to note is the middle tine on the 5 tine tool has cracks near the top. I believe it is still usable as is, especially since the pressure is upwards not downwards when in use. A bead of welding would reinforce it.
