2 Vintage Original US Army/ Navy WWII WW2 Compass Engineer Directional Compass:

In this sale we have 2 different authentic WWII Navy issued compasses in used condition. The black bakelite unit looks complete...directional dial turns freely...does not appear to be broken...and is marked directional compass 12 BX. The metal compass also has working directional hand, but seems to be missing something that would have been located on its side panel..(see photos) There is an empty space on the side that currently has nothing around it?? The leather pouch for the metal compass haswriting on the front cover that waswritten there many years ago (see photos). The prior owner of these units was a Captain in the Navy who claimed to have used them in combat during WW2.
