Description: Two great vintage/antique Woman\'s Benefit Association (WBA) Pin Buttons.1. Large gold finish solid brass pin with beautiful and brilliant blue enamel work that creates a lustrous \'WBA\' against the blue background. This is surrounded by laurel wreath (or similar) decoration. Says \'OTM\' in small letters beneath. The reverse says \'Pat. Applied For\' and shows a simple hook or \'C\' catch to secure the pin. It\'s a beautiful pin that is solid at 14.6 grams.2. Small \'WBA\' celluloid pin similarly done in gold and blue. The reverse does have a paper insert that reads,
\'Compliments of the Woman\'s Benefit Assn. Port Huron, Mich.\'The Woman\'s Benefit Association was established in 1892 by Bina M. West. It was essentially a fraternal benefit society that offered life insurance and other financial policies. The WBA became the North American Benefit Association in 1966. In 1996 it became the Woman\'s Life Insurance Society. It\'s corporate headquarters remain in Port Huron MI, just like when these pins were made approximately 100 years ago. In addition to Port Huron, the WBA also operated camps in Hollister, MO and at Salamanca, NY. I acquired these very near to Salamanca so perhaps this is where they came from. Measurements: Large pin is 1 1/2\" in diameter. Smaller pin is 7/8\" in diameter (penny shown for scale)Condition: Very good condition overall. Large one is excellent. Only minor oxidation and faint wear to the surface. Very tiny surface nicks/scuffs. Smaller pin is likewise excellent on the front, but the reverse has a ring of oxidation or rust to the exposed metal. Original paper still intact. Please inspect the photos.Shipped FREE via USPS with appropriate care... Thank YOU!
Payment
I have had to take precautions because of people not paying. You will have 4 days to pay, then an unpaid item case will be opened. From this point you will have another 4 days to pay. That\'s EIGHT total days, however if you don\'t pay the case will close and show on your record. At this time the item will be offered to the next highest buyer or re-listed. A case HAS to be opened to recoup selling fees.Shipping
I only ship within the US or to eligible Countries through the Global shipping program (however I don\'t use this for all items). If it doesn\'t say I ship to your Country in shipping details, then I won\'t, no exceptions, sorry. The shipping service will depend on the buyers location and the package weight. I predominantly use Priority Mail unless an item qualifies for First Class, however I will use Parcel Select in some instances particularly if you live out West. I am not a business and I reuse boxes and packaging so my packages aren\'t always the prettiest, but I do spend a lot of time and effort in ensuring items are packed with care, handled fast and shipped using an expedited service whenever possible.offers/Offers
I will NOT end items early via accepting a buy it now price or even respond to people offering amounts in exchange for me ending the item early. If I am selling an item via sale it will not end prematurely unless I made a mistake in the listing or the item was lost/broken. Please keep in mind I like to use free shipping and shipping prices fluctuate quite a bit. This is a consideration during offers. I may sell an item cheaper to someone closer to me opposed to someone offerding out West because the shipping may be a lot cheaper.Returns/Refunds
I offer returns on all items except for items that are being sold broken for parts/fix. You will have 14 days from the time you receive it to return it, no questions asked. If you simply don\'t like it or it doesn\'t fit then you are accountable for the return shipping. If i make an error in the listing (and I will from time to time) then I will pay for the shipping back to me. I will make mistakes. However, threatening to escalate cases etc. won\'t make the process any more enjoyable. I have been accused of all sorts of things while selling on this platform, but when I make a mistake in a listing or an item doesn\'t function properly YOU WILL BE FULLY REFUNDED and I will lose money on shipping to and fro. Just return the item, I will refund you every time. I didn\'t get good response by deceiving people on purpose or taking short cutsresponse
I generally leave response AFTER the buyer. This is just a little extra confirmation that you received the item and you\'re happy with it. Regardless, many people still don\'t leave response but after a period of time (enough time where I can assume the item isn\'t getting returned) I will leave positive response whether you have or not.
I am not a business, but an individual who enjoys selling on very much. This is not my occupation, more a hobby. I source items from all over. Estate sales, garage sales, liquidations, sales, consignments for friends. I do my best to keep buyers happy and them offerding risk free. If I make a mistake I will go out of my way to make things right and I believe my response is a testament to that. THANK YOU!
