DESCRIPTION:
I am pleased to offer you this \"beautiful\"German doll.Incised on the back of her bisque head is \"28 Majestic, 6, Germany, Regd\". My reference 16th Blue Book, page 111 tells me \"Majestic Doll\" is a Trademark for Kammer & Reinhardt 1886+.This doll measures 20\" tall beinga bisque socket headon wooden composition jointed body. Doll is jointed at the neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists,legs and knees with all fingers intact, some scuffs, re-paint throughout body, wear on fingers, strung fine. She has a \"sweet\" facewithcreamy bisque, open and close blue glass sleepy eyes that work fine, painted straight lashes below the eyes,feathered brownbrows, she has open mouth with upper teeth, and a faint little dimple in her chin.I see no rubs on her cheeks. Looking at the bisque head I flashed inside and I do not see any cracks or hairlines, thereis plaster cement inside that was too secure the sleepy eyes on rocker as most doll peopledo. A little old glue residue on the rim.Human hair wig is long and older, it slips over a newer pate on her head. Wears a Turn of theCenturybrown dress with white dots and lace, it buttons down the back, shows some wear,a \"snag\" below the waist may need a little sewing restoration, she wears slip, pantaloons, stockings and black boots. I havetaken plenty of photos. Please look at my photos they will serve as part of thisdescription. If you would like further photos or have questions please email me. This olddoll is a \"beauty\" and would be a \"treasure\" for a collection or display! Not perfect, butafter all she is 100 or so years old.
