This is a 2007 issue Black Bonded Leather NKJV Study Bible by Thomas Nelson. The main notables up front are a corner crease on the leather cover (pictured), a page in the very back before the maps that wasn\'t trimmed correctly and comes out beyond the text block; and just general evidence of reading and carrying (it opens very easily for reading); binding is solid (in other words it\'s free of any seam separations, loose/torn pages, loose hinges, etc.); presentation page is blank; pages are free of any marks or notations. Good solid reading copy. I think it\'s one of the best study Bible\'s out there and certainly would be in my top 5 Study Bible list if stranded on a desert island. The notes and comments are largely based on the Nelson\'s New Illustrated Bible Commentary. So basically you get a Bible and commentary in one! Additionally, there are short word study articles. A word study article explains in brief the definition of a key Hebrew or Greek word and where this word is used elsewhere in the Bible. This often gives additional insights and understanding about Scripture. There is a concordance in back for finding a verse when you recall a key word and full color maps. Book introductions to explain historical and theological context are there. Important cross references for the scriptures are located on each page. The Scripture text is black letter text throughout and a black ribbon marker to hold your place for daily reading and study. Very conservative and evangelical in comments. The NKJV of course is more word for word translation style making it ideal for Bible study and Word studies. It\'s a great study Bible with notes you can trust. Measures approximately 9 3/4\" x 6 3/4\" x 2\". Would make a good travel Study Bible or perhaps a comparative reader to another favorite Study Bible.Buy it Nowfor your convenience! :)
