2007 Cervelo R3 Dura Ace 7800 (54cm):
I purchased this bike in summer 2008 as a closeout model. As you can see from the photos, this bike is in exceptional condition. Frame has no visible scratches; finish is still excellent; no heel marks, etc. (Yes, I’m one of those guys in the bike club that always has the cleanest bike). All moving parts have been regularly cleaned and serviced; the bike has always been babied; never crashed. The Conti. GP 4000’s still have a good amount of life in them. The Dura Ace front derailleur is only a few years old. I replaced it because of chipping chrome, but now the same appears to be happening with the newer one (seems to be a frustrating characteristic of 7800s). Based on my most accurate home scale, the bike weighs in at slightly over 15 lbs. I’m selling this R3 because I recently purchased a new R3. I’m a very satisfied and loyal R3 owner! R3s are stiff and feathery light, yet are responsive and have a superb all-day ride quality. I’ll calculate shipping cost according to your location.
Frame: Cervelo R3 Team CSC Tiscali Rahmen Gabel (size M 54cm); Despite my best efforts to preserve them, the CSC stickers began peeling (and collecting dirt) so badly I finally removed them. I suspect replacements could be found on the web.
Fork Brand & Model: 3T Funda Pro; FSA carbon headset
Wheels and Tires: Mavic Ksyrium SL with Conti. GP4000 700.23c; also included: Mavic wheel bags, extra Ksyrium SL rim, and extra spokes (gifts from a friend).
Saddle: Selle Itallia SLR Flow, 175g (one year old)
Seatpost: FSA SLK Carbon
Stem: FSA SLK (+/- 6 degree; 120mm)
Handlebar: FSA SLK Carbon Compact
Shifters: Shimano Dura-Ace 7800
Brakes: Shimano Dura-Ace 7800
Front Derailleur: Shimano Dura-Ace 7800 (two years old)
Rear Derailleur: Shimano Dura-Ace 7800
Crankset: FSA SLK Carbon Compact 50x34; 175mm crank arm length. NOTE: Since the FSA crank fixing bolts are notorious for coming loose, I regularly checked the fixing bolt for tightness. It never seemed to be an issue, but better safe than sorry.
Bottom Bracket: Shimano Dura Ace 7900 (one year old). I learned early on that FSA MegaExo BBs are junk. The 7900 BBs fit perfectly, are smoother, more durable, and never squeak.
Chain: Shimano Dura-Ace 10 speed with Wipperman Connex link (one year old)
Cassette: Shimano Ultegra 6700, 10 speed, 11-28 (two years old)
