In 2011, the Royal Canadian Mint revealed that the Canadian Silver Timber Wolf Coin would be the first coin produced for their 1 oz bullion coin Wildlife Series. The front side of the coin features a native timber wolf in his natural habitat. The reverse side proudly displays the profile of Queen Elizabeth II. This series, which ran from 2011 to 2013, featured 6 coins each with a mintage of 1 million coins.
