These beads were caught from the Krewe of Rex Mardi Gras parade in 2013. They are still in the original packaging. The item for sale is a REX TIGER polystone emblem medallion. Throughout its primarily Asiatic domains the tiger, not the lion, is the“King of the Beasts.” The largest cat species, the tiger’s strength and huntingskill make it a popular symbol, one claimed by nations, kings and not a fewathletic teams. The tiger rivals the dragon for primacy in Chinese mythology.It hangs on a strand of gold beads with the Rex Crown beads.The items were caught directly from the floats. This parade is very important and historic. Rex is considered the King of Carnival! It runs Uptown New Orleans on Mardi Gras morning. It is the only krewe that rolls on Mardi Gras (other than the not so formal truck parades). Many people look forward to the coming of Rex on Mardi Gras morning.
