This 2015 Cook Islands Silver High Relief Norse God Loki is graded by NGC as Mint State 70 First Releases.

Each coinis composed of 2 troy ounces of .999 fine silver.This coin is part of an antique series well-known as The Norse Gods.

The Norse Gods series originated from Germany\'s BH Mayer Mint consisting on nine coins that features legendary figures such as Odin, Thor, and Tyr. This coin that honors Loki marks the sixth coin in the series and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.

Loki was born as the son ofFarbauti, a giant,andLaufey, a goddess or giantess, with his relationship among the Norse Gods varying based on source. Some stories recall him as an ally to the other gods while others show him as a nuisance or enemy; hisallegiance is determined by what gives him the most advantage at the time.

Loki can easily be described as the ultimate trickster as he has the ability to transform into just about anything. This has allowed him to amuse himself as well as the Gods with his impressions. He has even gone as far as having children while in animal forms thus he is the father of the serpentJormungandr and the wolf Fenrir.

The obverse of this coin features Loki in his true form along with several animals that he has transformed into which include a horse, eagle, fish and fly. The inscriptions \"NORSE GODS\" and \"LOKI\" are on the top and bottom of the coinrespectively.

The coin\'s reverse depicts aright-sided profile of her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, along with the inscriptions “ELIZABETH II”, \"COOK ISLANDS\" and “2016” encircling the rim of the coin.
