Touching Crown Design by Glyn Davies

Queen Elizabeth II is depicted in right-side portrait by Jody Clark on the obverse. She is shown with earrings and a diadem. The image is encircled by rim inscriptions that include her name and Latin title, "ELIZABETH II D.G. REG. FID. DEF.," and the coin's face value, "5 POUNDS."

A crown serves as the focal point on Glyn Davies's reverse. Next to it is the inscription "MY WHOLE LIFE, WHETHER IT BE LONG OR SHORT, DEVOTED TO YOUR SERVICE." Arching over the image along the rim is an inscription that marks the occasion, "SAPPHIRE JUBILEE," while the dates of the reign, "1952-2017," are included below.
