21\" Custom Greco Roman Short Sword Leaf Shape Albion Arms Bronze Blade Old Hilt:

This is a small but incredibly heavy custom Greco-Roman short sword. The hilt grip and pommel are all one piece of thick cast brass with nickel clad/plating. Thenickel coating iswearing through to the brass;this is a heavyantique part from the late 1800s. The casting is very simple,but decorative, with armor, a soldiers face and deep fan/spiral patterns on the hilt and grip area.
The blade is solid bronze, and was created by AlbionArms inearly2000. The center of the bladefeatures a deep alternating spiral pattern that tapers to a point ~2/3 of the way down the blades length. The blade was chemical patinaed and waxed approximately ten years ago, to give the appearance ofage, and prevent the blade from being blindly shiny. The blade can easily be polished to a high shine if that is your preference. The blade was broadly heated and peened into place to give a strong graduate flare when hammered;but keep in mind that the blade is bronze.This sword is not intended for edge to edge fighting or cut testing, it\'s an awesome bulky thrust/bludgeoning piece. The blade was never sharpened, only used for strength training. What you see is what you get, a stout shortsword.
