IDEAL DOLLco. 21\" JUDY GARLAND DOLL. The teen style from 1940. (see copy of the original ad & picture with Judy Garlandfrom Edward Pardella\'s collectible book) A beautiful restoration. Please read all of the description including the restoration details BELOW.Great effort is put in these dolls that I bring back to life to look like the doll did when it was mint & new. There is No crazing. Beautiful features and coloring. HerBrown sleep eyes have full lashes. Her Human Hairwig is a brunette in the original set. The wig is in exceptionally nicecondition. Her neck was markedIdeal dollbut most of the markings were lost in the restoration process. Her backhas very faint traces of her markings left aswell. Ideal doll backwards 21. Herfactory dress is very similar to her original. It is Ideal madeand inher day, but did not come on her. It is a tiny floral Organdy type faded pink with black ribbon trim & attached slip. Button back.Dress has a vintage look and feel and I found some tiny pin holes where her collector pin is But, overall is pretty nice. Pin is included. Velvet bow in her hair and black oilcloth ankle tie shoes. She\'s a beauty!Insurance is included with the Priority Shipping.

RESTORATION INFO:
Sometimes these 50-80 year old dolls just don’t survive the test of time very well. Restoration is needed. Finding a skilled restorationist is as hard to find as the rare doll itself. Doll Hospitals and restorers can charge $12.00-$15.00 per inch and this does not even include wigs or clothes! This is a ART. A labor of love & mostly a lot of sanding. With these collectible pieces, I have done my best to keep the doll looking as original as possible when the doll was Mint. With that being said, These are still Vintage & Antique dolls. Composition especially has a lot of factory nuances & aging issues that will still present themselves on occasion. After the years go by there could be joint rubs ( I line the joints with felt to avoid this), or the faint hint of a craze line on the body.
This doll has been repaired if needed, and eyes will be clear and a appropriate color. There will be no missing fingers or toes. The process includes stripping, sanding, priming, airbrush painting, hand painted features & sealing. I pay special attention to the faces and they are completely smooth.
