Here is a wonderful, large cloth Russian lady tea cozy (orSamovar cover) for keeping your tea pot warm. She has mask face with twinkling eyes; her arms are crossedover her ample bosom. Her blonde fleecy hair is worn in very long braids thatare wrapped around her head in an elaborate pattern. Her wide full skirt has two layers of ruffles at the hem andunder the skirt is the thickly padded quilted pot cover petticoat. Her overall measurement is 22”, herpetticoat is 12” x 13”. Thepetticoat has some staining but does not appear to have ever been washed; Ibelieve the stain is from the dress perhaps steam coming though the fabricscaused the staining. The petticoatis usually stamped with the region in Russia where this doll was made but I canfind no such label or stamping.This is a very large size tea cozy!
