DESCRIPTION:
This listing is for a lovely antique German DOLLY FACE girl doll who may need a little \"TLC\" and or \"restoration\". Incised on the back of her bisque head is \"Armand Marseille, Germany, 390, A 8 M\". Reference attributes to 1890+ Germany by Armand Marseille. This doll is a bisque socket head with composition jointed German doll body. Body is jointed at the neck, shoulders, elbows, wrist, legs and knees with all fingers intact. Lots of paint wear, scuffs, composition & wood splits but intact for being 100 years old. You may wish to do a little paint restoration to your liking on her body. She displays well sitting or standing with a doll stand. She has a \"sweet\" dolly face with open and close blue glass sleepy eyes that work fine, painted lashes around the eyes, brush stroked brown brows, she has open mouth with upper teeth. A faint little dimple in her chin. Her replacement wig with braids slips over a pate on her head. Her head is dirty inside, there is plaster cement that was used to secure the sleepy eyes on rocker as you often find. I flashed inside the head and do not see any cracks. She wears a vintage blue dress with lace & embroidery accents, net overlay, it buttons down the back. It is lovely but could use a light cleaning after all those years. She wears half slip, top, pantaloons, stockings and black leather shoes with silver buckles. I have taken plenty of photos. Please look at my photos they will serve as part of this description.
