This kite is handmade by aJapanese kite craftsman. Japanese Nishiki kites represent good luck, promotionand growth and are decorated in different types of celebrations in TraditionalJapan.
The artwork on this particularkite is Kintaro catching a koi. Kintaro (a character from a famous Japanesechildren’s story) represents a “child’s safe growth.”
