Estate Item #037: Wax over Paper Mache 23\" Antique doll... well Dressed
To look at her, she is very beautifully dressed for a vintage doll. She pre-dates the 1900\'s. She is a head-shoulder plate made of paper-mache and coated with wax. Wax has the crackle print look up close from age. Her arms are more solid mache while her lower legs are hollow. Her body is stuffed with straw and the fabric is thin muslin that covers it. Her eyes are budging blue made of glass. Her hair is very thin mohair that looks original. She has on full undergarments and a beautiful old style dress. I found no damage of breakage to the body parts. Please review all the pictures.
