DESCRIPTION:
This listing is for a lovely antique German DOLLY FACE girl doll. Incised on the back of her bisque head is \"Made in Germany, Armand Marseille, 390 n, DRGM/246/, A 10 M\". Reference attributes to 1910 Germany by Armand Marseille., \"n\" is known as \"dolly face\" mold, DRGM is a registered claim or trade mark. This doll is a bisque socket head on wooden composition jointed body that is strung fine being jointed at the neck, shoulders, elbows, wrist, legs and knees. All fingers and toes intact. I need to mention her upper shoulder areas, the upper arms are a close match but \"not\" an exact match, they are function-able and move arms well, see photos. Body shows some scuffs, overall wear and \"re-paint\" for being 100 or so years old, but displays well sitting or standing with a doll stand. The number \"60\" is incised on the upper back, the number \"60\" is also incised on the upper back leg joints and behind each knee. She has a \"sweet\" Dolly face with high quality creamy bisque, \"fixed\" open blue glass eyes, upper hair lashes on the eye lids, painted lashes around the eyes, brush stroked brown brows, she has open mouth with upper teeth intact, a faint little dimple in her chin. A beautiful face with rose color blush. I flashed inside the head and do not see any cracks or hairlines, there is plaster cement inside that was used to fix her eyes to remain open all the time. I notice a tiny chip on the rim of the head, nothing terrible. Her charming dark brunette wig with locks slips over a pate on her head. Her wig is soft, possibly with a gold hair clip on each side, an older vintage acrylic wig. Doll wears a light rose color vintage dress that snaps down the back, there are matching panties. She wears stockings and shoes. I have taken plenty of photos. Please look at my photos they will serve as part of this description. If you would like further photos or have questions please email me.
