DESCRIPTION:

This listing is for a lovely antique bisque head \"PANSY\" doll. Incised on the back of her bisque head is \"PANSY IV.\" Reference attributes to German maker Armand Marseille 1910+ for distributor George Borgfeldt and Co. I do not know the past history of this doll, but will try to describe the best I can with any flaws. Measures 24\" tall she is a bisque socket head with jointed composition doll body. Body is strung fine, jointed at the neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, legs and knees. She has all her fingers intact. Body shows overall wear, scuffs, line crazing, for being 100 or so years old. She has a \"sweet\" Dolly Face with \"Fixed\" open blue replacement eyes, painted lashes around the eyes, feathered brown brows, open mouth with upper teeth and subtle color blush on her lovely face. Her long light auburn brown mohair wig is glued on remains of a pate that goes nicely over her head. An older wig, a few hairs out of place but charming. Fur trim on the sleeves and brooch pin on her dress. I flashed inside the head and do not see any cracks or hairlines, there is a chip on the rim of her head, see photos. Eyes are glued secure in this head. Her vintage dress has hooks on the jacket and skirt waist for closure, some discoloration and overall wear throughout both her top and skirt, see photos. She wears antique slip, pantaloons, stockings and cream color shoes. Her shoes are not vintage/antique like her clothing and wig. I have taken plenty of photos.
