DESCRIPTION:

I am pleased to offer you this lovely bisque head German doll. Incised on the back of her bisque head is \"Made in Germany with the Dressel symbol, 1912-6\". Reference tells me this doll was made by Cuno, Otto & Dressel, 1873 to 1930 Sonnenberg Germany. Heads were made by Simon Halbig, Armand Marseille, Heubach and others.I do not know her past history but will try to describe this doll with any flaws the best I can. This is nice \"larger\" size25\" tall doll with antique bisque socket head , she has astrung composition jointed body. I had her re-strung and she displays great. She is jointed at the shoulders, elbows, wrist, legs, and knees with all fingers and toes intact. Her lower arms and hands slightly different in color, possibly replacement hands,but a good fit. I do not know her past history, and or what restorations were made. She has a \"sweet\" dolly face with fixed open blue glass eyes, I notice the right eye being a little off center as sometimes you find when eyes have been fixed open, she has painted black lashes around her eyes, brown brows, she has openmouth with upper teeth intact. Wonderful color blush on her near perfect little face. Looking at this bisque head there is a \"pencil\" like line crack at the top of the rim that goes down the back of her head, see photos #7 and #8 please, head is all together intact with old repair. There is plaster cement inside that was used to secure the glass eyes in this head. There is a newer vintage blonde wig with bangs that slips over a pate on her head. Doll wears a \"gorgeous\" pink chiffon \"fancy\" two piece dress, slip, pantaloons, stockings and shoes. And just look at her \"exquisite\" hat! Clothing is in nice condition, I believe made especially for this doll. I have taken plenty of photos. Please look at my photos they will serve as part of this description.
