DESCRIPTION:
This listing is for a lovely antique bisque head German doll. Incised on the back of her bisque head is \"Special\" with the number \"65\" below. Reference \"Special\" to both German Makers Kley & Hahn and Adolf Wislizenus, 1850 to 1930 Germany. Measures just a little over 26\" tall she is a bisque socket head with jointed composition wood doll body. Body is strung, jointed at the neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, legs and knees with all fingers and toes intact. I believe a finger on the right hand may have had repair. Finger nails out lined in red for that realistic look. Body shows overall wear, scuffs, re-paint, line crazing for being 100 or so years old. She has a \"sweet\" dolly face with open and close brown glass sleepy eyes that work fine, retains most upper mohair eye lashes on the eye lids, painted lashes around the eyes, brush stroked brown brows, she has open mouth with upper teeth. Tiny black spec on the left cheek, see photo. I have not attempted to remove. Rose color blush on the cheeks, she has a faint little dimple in her chin. Her long brunette mohair wig has a stitched center part, shows some overall wear, a few stitches inside the wig, I believe this is her original wig, it slips over a pate on her head. I flashed inside the head and do not see any cracks or hairlines. Doll wears vintage two piece Sailor Outfit with top and skirt. She wears a full slip, pantaloons, stockings and black shoes. Clothing could use a light overall cleaning. I have taken plenty of photos. Please look at my photos they will serve as part of this description.
