DESCRIPTION:
This listing is for a lovely antique German DOLLY FACE doll. Incised on the back of her bisque head is \"Armand Marseille, Germany, 390, A 11 M\". Reference attributes to 1890+ Germany by Armand Marseille. This doll is a bisque socket head onwooden composition jointed body who measures 27\" tall. Body is jointed at the shoulders, elbows, wrists, legs and knees with all fingers intact. She wears a blue ring on her right hand little finger. Her hands show paint loss throughout and wear. Body shows paint loss, paint touch up, scuffs for being 100 or so years old. You may wish to do a little restoration to your liking. A \"sweet\" dolly facewith \"fixed\" open brown eyes, painted lashes around the eyes, feathered brown brows, she has open mouth with upper teeth, a faint little dimple in her chin,lovely rose color blush on her \"near perfect\" face. Wears a charming auburn brunette wig that slips over a pate on her head, it is vintage but not antique. I flashed her head and do not see any cracks or hairlines. Inside the head is plaster cement that was used to secure the eyes remain open all the time. Doll wears a charming green dress with lace accents, jacket is removable, slip, pantaloons, stockings and shoes. Please look at my photos they will serve as part of this description.
