Approximately 17\" tall I am not sure of its origins.. I will say I acquired this amongst a lot of one other almost identical post (I did not get the lot) In addition there was a vary old (possible velum) Japanese book that had to do with spiritual or religious content (I had a friend translate the book cover) That all said,, Japanese, Hindu, India, not sure,.. but I can tell old wood and this thing is near petrified with age.. It is a dark hardwood... Ironwood type of species I think that this is an important piece
