Here are three vintage lighters.
One is a souvenir of the Korean War with the inscription on the front \"I am sure to go to heavenbecause I\'ve served my time in hell.\" The lighter is marked on the bottom ARIRANG, INCHON TAI YANG CO.It is inscribed on the backside with the owner\'s initials and name. The lighter is 2 3/16\" in height and1 1/2\" in length at the bottom and has some scuffs and scratches.
The second is brass in the shape of a book. There are no identification marks. The top and bottom of the\"book\" slide off to reveal the lighter. The bottom is stuffed with a cotton-type material. The wheel andthe lighter fluid end are corroded and dirty. It is a little under 2 3/8\" in height and 1 1/2\" at the bottomlength. The brass has a very old patina. There is a 5/16\" cut in the \"book\'s\" cover just above where thetwo sections separate, and a repair would be needed to one section to bring the \"cover\" tighter to thecenter \"pages.\" There is wear and aging.
The third lighter is a Bowers trench, tube-type. Besides the Bowers mark, it is marked Kalamazoo, Mich.It is just under 3\" in lengthI am not a collector or knowledgeable about thefunctions of lighters. The person who owned these lightersis not available to shed light on their working condition,and I am selling them as is.
