This lot Includes: A great group of Arts & Crafts era sterling cocktail spoons from 3 different makers. Fill out the bar with sterling silver this year and do it in style with these Arts & Crafts pieces. There are no monograms, light signs of wear from age & use and some possible light pitting. Nothing drastic, see the photos. From the left we have: Unidentified maker, scroll back, tipt, pointed drip connection, that measures 11 ¾ inches long and is marked “Sterling [in an oval] W”, there are hammer marks to the back of the bowl; 11 ¼ inch Erickson Silver Shop, Chino pattern, hammer marks to the back of the bowl; 11 5/8 inch William G DeMatteo (Bergenfield, N.J., active 1919-1968), rod handle that is demi-lune in section, egg shaped bowl, hammer marks to back of bowl. These long spoons have all seen “action” and show signs of light wear, but overall they would make a great addition to any bar or even for serving of sauces and such. The unidentified piece is worthy of more research, it really looks a lot like the Erickson piece with similar bowl and hammer marks (Erickson even did a pattern like this called “Princess”). The spoons tip the scales at 176 grams for all 3. This is a great start to a collection. See all the silver and precious items we are selling this week.
