A set of 3 matching detailed antique Cameroonian Bamileke hip face masks. I think theseare solid brass cast using a lost wax technique due to the metal colouration although the back of the masks have somebronze colouration so possibly a brass/bronze mix.There is a loop to the top of the masks, this is where the mask would be attached to a belt. I believe these dates from the late 19th /early 20th century but will leave that to any potential buyer to decide on as I am not an expert in African art but from my limited knowledge would say these have some age to them.
All in very good condition with only some minor age-related wear/marks commensurate with age, there isa holeto thebeard area of one maskwhere it has been cast too thinly (see pic). Weigh 472g unpacked.
Measures approx: 10.5cm to 11.5cm Length ~ 5.5cm Width ~ 2.5cm to 3cm Depth
