3 Girls in Bonnets to make paper dolls, great color prints of 1890\'s chromolitho:
$12.00

Glossy print on 8.5x11\" card stock of German set #3460 from about 1892, part of the wonderful embossed chromolithographs from Germany to make activated paper dolls. You provided the card body and this style was glued onto it though more common were those with separate arms and legs that required brass fasteners to attach and then the limbs could move and pose. You supply light cardboard for body, upper arms and upper legs just as in the old days and thenmake outfits using crepe paper to create ruffles and flounces or whatever style you chose. Some activated dolls of this kind were released by the Dennison\'s paper company but these had the Dennison stamp on the body. All the originals were German which had invented the adding of chrome metallic powder to the printing dye to give the special wonderful German gloss and brilliant lasting color. The color match here to the originals is great because I get them made on a Japanese, not Taiwan or other China printer that emphasizes yellow. I\'m including a 2nd sheet which is of a big girl in bonnet #3431 with arms holding doll and with feet that match the arms and feet of one of the smaller dolls. One of my new series of paper doll reprints.
