This unusual 3 inch diameter brass steam whistle is in extremely good condition.
The bell and the bowl are brass. The whistle itself is 11 1/2 inches long from the acorn on the top to the bottom of the inlet. The bell is 2 7/8 inches in diameter. The cap on the top of the bell is 3 5/16 inches in diameter. The bowl is 3 7/16inches in diameter. The whistle with the stand is 13 7/16 inches tall.There is a 3 cast into the lever. The lever is iron.
There are no dings on the bell and faint wench marks on a few of the flats. The lever, valve, and spring move fine! This whistle was used very little, if at all.
The inlet at the bottom is 1 inch pipe thread. The stand is included.
This looks great on a book shelf!
This whistle is not marked with any manufacturer\'s name or logo. Please let me know if you know who the manufacturer was!
The whistle and stand weigh 7 pounds.
