Many of you know us as longtime collectorsand sellers of vintage and antique Hallowe\'en, Christmas, Valentine’s Day andEaster holiday memorabilia, antique dolls, old toys and lovely old china andglassware. Yay!We are so proud to present four classic mid-century black cat band member diecutdecorations that were made in the USA by The Beistle Company. All four examplesare marked Copr. H.E. Luhrs, Made in USA. Each member of the musically-inclined kitty cat band is in FRIGHTfully fabulouscondition for its age. The embossing on all four is exceptionally deep andcrisp and all have bright, rich coloring. All four diecuts were given handmadeeasels on their reverse sides and these were taped in placed by a previousowner. Included here are three UNCOMMON examples, and one that is considered to beSCARCE. They measure between 8 ¾” to 9” high, and these are the smaller blackcat band members. The scarce kitty cat is the female feline wearing a skirt and playing a guitar.She has a few light surface creases but her condition isoutstanding. Next is a male cat in striped pants playing the clarinet. He is considered tobe uncommon. He has a few light surface creases and two tiny, very minor paperlifts. The next kitty cat is also uncommon, and he is playing the violin or fiddle. Hehas a couple of light surface creases, and a couple of very tiny rubs to hisfeet. The last kitty is also uncommon, and he plays the saxophone. He has a couple ofvery light surface creases and a couple of very tiny rubs. Diecuts such as these charming four can be seen on page 154 of the outstandingreference book entitled “Vintage Halloween Collectibles: Third Edition” byesteemed collector, expert and author Mark B. Ledenbach. We are so deeplyhonored and grateful that Mark invited us to showcase some of the pieces fromour collection in this incredible book!
