This is a VINTAGE LOT OF \"4\" STERLING SILVER COASTERS original painting by SAM SAVITT FOR FRANK M. WHITING. They measure approx. 4 1/4\" in diameter and are painted with an elegant horse in the center of the porcelain part of the coaster. Two of the coasters have \"MAN-O-WAR \"THERE WAS ONLY ONE\" ~ CHESTNUT HORSE FOALED 3-29-17 BY FAIR PLAY OUT OF MAHUBAH ~ BREEDER ~ AUGUST BELMONT ~ ONE OF THE GREATEST SIRES OF RACING HISTORY ~ WON 20 RACES OUT OF 21 STARTS. One of these two coasters has a slight bend on the edge and one of the horses is lighter in color than the other one. Another coaster is \"CITATION\" BAY HORSE ~ FOALED 4-11-45 BY BULL LEA OUT OF HYDROPLANE 2ND ~ BREEDER ~ CALUMET FARM ~ TRIPLE CROWN WINNER 1948 ~ KENTUCKY DERBY, PREAKNESS, & BELMONT ~ WON 27 RACES OUT OF 29 STARTS. This coaster also has a slight bend on the edge. The last of the four coasters is \"ASSULT\" ~ CHESTNUT HORSE FOALED 3-26-43 BY BOLD VENTURE OUT OF IGUAL ~ BREEDER ~ KING RANCH ~ TRIPLE CROWN WINNER 1946 ~ KENTUCKY DERBY, PREAKNESS, & BELMONT. This coaster also has a slight bend on the edge and a tiny spot that looks like a pin pop but definitely not broken. THEY ARE ALL PRINTED \"ORIGINAL PAINTING BY SAM SAVITT FOR FRANK M. WHITING\" ~ HAND COLORED. The four coasters are in need of cleaning and are sold \"as is and as found\" so please check the pictures on your close-up option so you can see the issues I\'ve mentioned. This is a wonderful antique set of coaster beautifully hand painted with EXQUISITE HORSES WHICH WERE SEEN IN THE KENTUCKY DERBY HORSE RACES. Thanks for looking!!
