About the magazine:History depicted in engravings from Illustrated Antique Weeklies- From the mid1800\'s to the turn of the century, even before many could read, the extremelypopular illustrated newspapers such asHarper\'s Weekly,FrankLeslie\'s Illustrated, L\'Illustration Journal Universel, andIllustrated London Newspictured the news and events of thetimes. Special artist-correspondents were present at the event to accuratelysketch the scene as it was making history. These sketches were rushed to publishers whereby skilled artisans engraved them on wood blocks.Within a week after the event the printed illustrated newspapers were in thepublic\'s hands. Page 1076 is larger advertisements and a couple nice pictures:seal-skin furs, winter resorts, magic lanterns, properties, fisherman supplies, clothing warehouse.
Page 1077 is a series of 8 pictures with a story called, \"Marriage by Advertisement.\"
On page 1078, the story continues, but the ending I not included. Paper is in great shape for its age. There are no tears. No fading,holes or worn spots. Along the edges the paper is darkened, and made some water or other liquid touched it in several places. Along one edge it is kind of jagged, as it was removed from a book. The two pages are glued together.
