I am a mom, dentist and lover of antique copper cookware & kitchenalia! While shopping for pieces to add to my own collection, I often have the pleasure of finding beautiful pieces to share with all of you! As much as I would like to keep all of these sparkling treasures for myself, I simply cannot.I usually have several gorgeous pieces for sale, most come directly from France and England.
I am committed to offering unique, high-quality items and strive to provide each of you with an exceptional experience. This experience begins at the moment that you \"click\" on my listing. I do my best to include 12 clear pictures in every listing, accompanied by thorough and accurate descriptions.In fact, some (most) of my descriptions turn into mini-novels.I will apologize in advance for my long, rambling and overly-enthusiastic descriptions.
Please keep in mind that many of these pieces are very old. While I definitely have a friendly \"no problem\" attitude toward accepting a return and issuing a full refund, my attitude toward individuals who leave negative or neutral response, without first informing me of a problem, isanything butfriendly. In fact, I do not think that should allow buyers to submit negative response without first contacting the seller.This policy is very unfair and should be revised. Thankfully, this has only happen to me 2 times in more than 10 years and 3,500 transactions. This fabulous antique copperpan came directly from the Lorraine region of France. There are no manufacturer\'s stamps, dovetails or exciting details to share about this piece. It is simply a classic French copper pan that has stood the test of time and hasseveral more lifetimes of service to offer!
Structural Condition:
This is clearly a hand-crafted pan and it is very well-made. Like many other antique pieces, there is no manufacturer\'s stamp.
The pan is structurally sound.There are a few minor dings to be noted, but there are no holes, cracks or leaks.
The pan sits flat and is well-balance. The symmetry is very good, but not quite a perfect circle.
The sturdy iron handle is firmly attached by three solid copper rivets.
Exterior Condition:
The exterior copper has a brilliant mirror-like shine!
There are some light scratches and tiny cosmetic blemishes to be noted, but nothing major to report.
The copper is silky-smooth and looks amazing!
Interior Condition:
The interior surfaces have been lined with hand-applied tin. Thelining has darkened over time, has a few surface irregularities and there is a bit of tin loss here & there-see picture #12.
The areas of exposed copper are rathersmall and you could safely use this pan for cooking, once properly cleaned. HOWEVER, I would recommend having it retinned, if you are planning to cook with it. It will need new tin eventually, so why wait?
I have started the sale at a very low price, because youwill need to invest a bit to restore the pan to pristine condition.
This sturdy French antique copperpan is definitely worth the investment!

4.65\" depth

Thickness range is 1.5mm-1.7mm around the upper rim. Judging by the weight of the pan, I am certain that the base is thicker.
