Ornaments are in very good condition.Minor wear, nicks &missing paint -a littledust fromyears of storage. Assorted shapes, sizes& colors. Circa 1920\'s. Ornaments measure 2.25\" - 2.5\". All are angels in various poses:2 angels sitting on sleds; 1 angel on a rocking horse; 2 angels on hobby horses. All are moldedivory colored wax, embossed andpainted on the front & sides. The back side is smooth.A little history from one of my Christmas Collector guides: \"Wax Relief Ornaments were originallymade in cookie orlebkuchen molds dating back hundreds of years. The front has the embossedand painted design, but the back is smooth. They have a certain resemblance to cookies. There are stars, hearts, pretzels and geometric shapes as well as St. Nicholas and characters dressedin clothes from the time period the molds were made. Although the molds are old, most old waxpieces will date from about 1920.\" Similar ornaments shown in the guide were valued at $40-$50. each.Very rare and hard to find.
