About First Flight Covers (FFC\'s) in General

FIRST FLIGHT COVERS are letters actually flown on the first flight of a new airline orair mail service. As such they are tangible artifacts relating to local history. Unlike First Day Covers they exist in only verylow numbers. Few flights had more than a few thousandcovers on board, sometimes much less, and a lot of those have not survived as most are 60 to 90 years old.

They are a great item to collect in general and also are great items for collectors of local historical memorabilia.
