Up for sale 6 19th century Gorham sterling silver cracked egg salts marked with the date letter \"E\" for 1872. The cracked egg sits on a foliate base. They are a whimsical and fun addition to a breakfast table setting. Each is marked on the reverse with the Gorham lion, anchor, G, sterling, 925 and E for 1872. Each salt measures 1.125\" H x 1.25\" base diameter. The opening of the egg is 1.25\" in diameter as well. The total weight of the 6 cracked egg salts is 2.86 ounces. Very good condition with normal signs of age and use with tarnish.
