This is a lot of 6 diaries kept by the same person for the years 1924-1930. There is not 1 for 1925. The person who kept the diaries was named Carrie McCleve and she lived on Parker Place in New Haven. Her husbands name was Robert they had a son Howard and a daughter Irene. These were all kept in Shartenberg Ready Reference Diaries. The covers are not in great shape. I scanned inside pages of each book to show the interior pages are in good shape. They raised their own chicks, sold chickens and fowl and sold eggs. They traveled throughout Connecticut selling their eggs, mostly in the New Haven Area. They also entered their poultry in the County Fairs. Some of the towns mentioned were East Haven, Branford, West Haven, Cheshire, Hartford etc.. I looked through one of the diaries and some of the places mentioned were Grannis Corner, Forbes Mill, Coke Warner-Miller, Cummings Dairy, Emanuel Sons Bakery. Names of customers and friends are also mentioned. The only diary that she wrote her name in was in the back of 1929. All have entries on every day except the 1926 which has only a few the end of March through May. All the other months and days of 1926 have entries.
