Six vintage Tavern (purchased by Gurley Novelty Company in 1949) Wax Christmas ornaments in good condition, each with original hangers. They are hollow wax ornaments. No box. Included are 2 Santa ornaments, 2 angel ornaments, 1 snowman ornament, and 1 toy soldier ornament. Details follow:
2 Santa wax Christmas ornaments in good condition each stand approximately 3\" tall, including hanger and are approximately 1 3/4\" wide. Both show normal signs of aging and some minor color wear and mica glitter loss (see photos). Their colors are bright and vivid. There are no cracks or breaks. They are hollow wax ornaments. A handsome set of Santa\'s.
2 angel wax Christmas ornaments in good condition each stand approximately 3 1/4\" tall, including hanger and are approximately 1 1/4\" wide. Both show normal signs of aging with some fading of the blue color on the angel wings and minor mica glitter loss on the hair (see photos). She is wearing a white gown. There are no cracks or breaks. They are hollow wax ornaments. A lovely pair of angels.
1 snowman wax Christmas ornament in good condition stands approximately 3\" tall, including hanger and is approximately 1 3/8\" wide. He shows little wear and all his buttons and eyes and nose are in place. A bit of the mica glitter on his broom has flaked off. His red hat is bright and shows little wear. There are no cracks or breaks and is a hollow wax ornament. A dapper snowman.
1 Toy soldier wax Christmas ornament in good condition stands approximately 3 1/4\" tall, including hanger and is approximately 1 1/2\" wide. He shows normal signs of aging with some flaking off of the red on his elbows and hat plume. A bit of the mica glitter on the hat has flaked off. The red is bright and vivid. There are no cracks or breaks. He is a hollow wax ornament. A cute toy soldier.
Original box not included. Each wax ornament is hollow. The faces on each are quite pretty and all painted eyes and noses are in tact. Please view photos.
