This statue was carved in 2012. Over 100 hours of carving. The size of

log is very large and it is not unusual for this size of log to crack or

fracture due to drying. If you purchase this statue, please accept the

splitting woodas \"character\". If you wantperfect, maybe you should

look at

a fiberglass or plasticmolded statue. This was carved by an item has been stored for 2 years before being sold. The cracks or

fissures in the wood are pretty stable and should not expand.

If you want a statue that is “perfect”, I do not have one.

PleaseNote: that all the statues are hand carved from hardwood and that each piecewill probably have some repairs. Wood is not perfect, it can have dry rot, bugholes, knots, splits, etc. Once you start carving a large piece of wood, likethis, the carver does not stop carving, because of defects in the wood, he justcarves the statue and repairs it after the carving is finished. Wood that isused for these carvings is not kiln dried, it is air dried outside for at least2 years. This is why all statues are sold “as is”.
