I am going to share the testimonial of the nephew of the guy who worked in the shop that printed this poster in the early 1960\'s. I bought this over 3 years ago and have never taken it out of packing more than just to look at it. I was going to have it professionally framed along with a Boblo coloring book and decorate my living room with vintage Detroit amusement parks like this and Edgewater. I lost my job, moved and now do not have the space, time or money to do it. Rather than letting it sit in the attic, I am selling all my Boblo and Edgewater finds. Please see my pics and please refer to link for original ad. There were 3 of these in his uncles home. He sold all 3, this is 1. Now I see some local \"artist\" is selling prints of it for $175 unframed, you can have one of the only 3 originals known to still exist.
Boblo Island Amusement Park was an amusement park which ran from 1898 until its closure on September 30, 1993. Its amusement rides were sold in 1994.[1]
The park was located on Bois Blanc Island, Ontario. It lies just above the mouth of the Detroit River. The people of Detroit, Michigan characterized it as that city\'s Coney Island
PLEASE ASK ANY AND ALL QUESTIONS BEFORE BUYING. This is not in perfect condition(bend in one corner of border, small water stain on bottom see pics), but this is in GREAT condition for being a poster. You can feel the layers of ink/paint on this and know this was made in old school fashion. 17\"H x 14\"W
