YOUR BEST OFFER WILL BE HUMBLY CONSIDERED!!! You are viewing a rare, vintage, circa 1960 OLD PAWN ELLIOT QUALO ZUNI NATIVE AMERICAN SOLID 925 STERLING SILVER FOSSIL OX INLAY BRAIDED LEATHER BOLO TIE WITH DECORATIVE STERLING SILVER AGLET TIPS.  This is a handcrafted and highly-collectible inlay bolo tie by Elliot Qualo.  This bow tie was made early in Elliot Qualo\'s silversmith/lapidarist career.  It is hand-hammered silver, as no electric tools were used in completing this piece.  This bolo tie has never been worn; has been kept in storage; and never been cleaned/polished producing the patina (tarnishing), a preference by many collectors.  *The back is signed engraved \"Elliott Qualo\" and \"NZZ\" (pawn shop code). Entire bolo weighs 35 grams.  The 2 inch wide by 1.75 inch tall ornamental hand-hammered sterling silver clasp has an inlay ox portrait of etched fossilized wood (\"jet,\" a form of lignite brown coal) and a smooth natural fossilized animal material as the background.  The bolo tie is about 38\" from end to end.  You decide if it\'s \"museum\" quality!!!

Please take the time to perform an internet search on Elliot Qualo to receive more information on his life; his journey as an award-winning Zuni artisan; and how he became famous and renowned by collectors all over the world.  His works are displayed at museums. The top quality of his craft as a skillful Zuni artisan is displayed in his \"precision-like\" inlay pieces.  He had a short-lived career producing highly-skilled Zuni pieces from 1960 until his passing in the late 70\'s.  I would also suggest you gain a little bit of historical knowledge on how pawning Indian jewelry was often a way of life to meet financial means for many Native Americans back in the day.  The story is too much to include here and very sad I have to say.  I feel in my heart this piece of jewelry was part of a collection that served to help in this manner.

Please view all the photos as they let you know what you will receive and are the primary and integral part of the description.  The first 9 photos (with the bolo tie lying on a wooden platform) shows the truer color and patina of bolo tie.  The other 3 photos were \"light enhanced\" so you can better see the details of the engraving, stamping and etching.
