This is a collector cuff. These glass opals look like genuine opals (they are not foil opals), I have never seen glass opals like these! Very colorful! (They change color like a genuine opal with movement.)
This cuff is a very old Navajo piece, circa 1940\'s or earlier. It is very heavy (99g), with a lot of detailed sterling work. There is a wonderful leaf, flower design with bead and rope work. This cuff has a heavy patina and due to its age, I can\'t recommend removing this because it would most likely ruin the bracelet.
The glass opals are very unique, they are not typical foil opals, nor do they look like dragon\'s breath glass. Within these glass opals every color of the rainbow can be seen, between the 5 different stones. They are striking in any lighting and get more interesting as you move them around. (Pictures were taken in a variety on lighting and angles.) They are in excellent condition without any scratches or cracks to the glass, only inner lines in one opal, see pictures. There are 5 glass opals that are approx. 17x12mm.
The cuff is 7/8\" wide, just under 5 1/2\" plus a 1 3/4\" gap (this cuff could be unisex). (There is no flexibility to the silver.)
It is in very good condition for vintage and hallmarked: By Otys, guaranteed sterling. (99g)
This avery solid, quality piece that will last a lifetime. (And its value will only increase with time.)
