Offered for sale is this interesting lot of over 70antique handwritten ink on paper letters along with a few postcards, greeting cards, and a photo, all found together. All are dated from around 1915-1919 and addressed to Dora Patillo, a member of the Patillo family of Beaumont, Texas. Dora was the 5th child of Jack Patillo, a prominent localAfrican Americanreal estate mogul and founder of Patillo\'s BBQ, which is still in business today. Corroborating info can be found online. Most of the letters appear to be from a few of Dora\'s male admirers and some are from her siblings. It looks like she married her admirer \"David.\" I have read less than fifteen of them, and one had a \"dear John\" message (Dear Dora actually.) Condition of the letters is good readable with plenty of age showing as seen in the photos. A nice addition to any collection, they are offered with .
