Top Panel Looking From Above: Appears to be a court room or town hall meeting with two sides of men armed with weapons, pipes, feathered hats, special accordion collarsand beer mugs. One man, who looks very much like Sir Walter Raleigh, sits on a keg in the middle of the room propping up a giant Flag. Two men are shaking hands. Perhaps there was a truce? As in all art forms, this is open to your own interpretation. But here in this listing, you get mine.2. Front Panel Facing: A fiddler serenades small groupings of men, women and children,in what appears to be a barn party, where one large fellowappears to be passing out, or falling offthe bench with a beer mug in his grasp. There\'s a dog, and a small person eating, and another large man with a tall hat leaning on a table to the left of the fiddler with a whisky jug at his feet.3. Left Side Panel Facing: Inside a home an nanny is bottle nursing a baby with a crib nearby and a small person with a dog eating at a bench across the room, while that big fella with the tall hat and the jug at his feet is leaning on the table.4. Back Panel: This appears to be an underground setting with doors to a root cellar and folks clamoring around the big man with the tall hat, perhaps asking for money or mercy, while in another area of the room, men and women are socializing, drinking, and there is a dog, hats, a shot gun and a fishing basket kind of strewn about.5. Right Side Panel Facing: I like this panel best of all next to the top, because again you\'ll see the little people clamoring around a large man with a tall hat who appears to either be storytelling, settling a dispute, or judging someone\'s fate, as though in a small court or house of law. Perhaps he\'s just the grandpa (still ominous enough), telling stories with his pipe in hand? Again, I wasn\'t there. so this is all open to interpretation.6. Bottom Panel: Cedar WoodGood Notes: Sir Walter Raleigh was an English gentleman, soldier, politician, writer, poet, courtier, explorer and spy. He was cousin to Richard Grenville, and the younger half-brother of Sir Humphry Gilbert. He died in 1618. Today his name is used as a brand name for sweet, nutty, aromatic pipe Tobacco made in Virginia, USA.On Other: The crowned lion, which you will see stamped on the lower right side of the top of this silver box,is a common charge in heraldry. It traditionally symbolizes courage, nobility, royalty, strength, stateliness, and valour, because it has historically been regarded as the \"king of beasts.\" The lion also refers to Judeo-Christian symbolism, and the Lion of Judah stands in the Coat of Arms of Jerusalem.
