Sterling SilverAntique ReproductionIndian Coin Pendant~ Hanuman ~

~ Handcrafted by Artisan Jewellers in Rajasthan, India ~
Traditional Jewellery from India is much loved by people around the globe, suiting everybody looking for something a little different from the usual offered collection in your local jewellery store. SilverSari has once again returned to online selling with a new, extended collectionof traditional &contemporary jewellery from Rajasthan, crafted in sterling silver, gold, brass, wood, and bone. Our constantly growing, wide selection of new and up-to-date designs now covers rings, earrings, bangles, bracelets, necklaces, pendants, charms and much, much more!

Very Large.... ornate and solidly crafted! An Indian coin, collected from villages in Rajasthan, has become the
centre of this beautiful, unique sterling silver pendant. Set into a plain
and solid sterling silver frame, it would suit anybody who adores Shiva,
Shiva, Pavati & Ganesha....or simply likes large & heavy pendants! This is a very beautiful and unusual piece... but please note that even though the coin was sold to me as \'the real thing\', I am quite sure it is \'only\' a reproduction of the genuine deal, now mostly to be found inmuseums of course. A very decorative and special piecethat can be worn on either side!Hanuman!
Hanuman, the mighty ape that aided Lord Rama in his expedition
against evil forces, is one of the most popular idols in the Hindu
pantheon. Believed to be an avatar of Lord Shiva, Hanuman is
worshiped as a symbol of physical strength,
perseverance and devotion.
Please note that this listing is for the pendant only, the silver chain visible in the photos is NOT included.

This piece of jewellery originates from a stunning collection by a young family team
of silversmiths & designers of jewellery in Rajasthan. I fell in love with their exquisite
sterling silver jewellery during my first trip to India years ago and decided to make
it available worldwide in my listings. Their exciting work is not only very beautiful
but of innovative and artistic design combined with an eye to detail and excellent
craftsmanship. Every piece of this exceptional jewellery has been patiently and
carefully carved and only quality precious and semi-precious stones have been
used for these eye-catching jewellery pieces. I will keep going back for more
and bring back to you their up-to-date collection on a regular basis.

Sterling Silver ~Sterling silver is an alloy of silver containing 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% other metals,
usually copper. The sterling silver standard has a minimum millesimal fineness of 925 and
generally marked for resale with the stamp \'925\' or \'.925\' or \'ster\'. Copper is the most common
metal used as the 7.5 percent alloy balance in sterling silver. It adds hardness to pure silver, but
also adds a tendency to "tarnish" (darkening that occurs when sterling silver reacts or oxidises
with gases in the air or with other substances that it comes in contact with). When silver
oxidises it first turns a yellow golden colour, then darkens with time to a dark graphite
grey or nearly black. Some aspects of silver jewellery are treated in this manner
when being created to give the sterling silver two different depths of colour.~ Measurements ~ Please view exact measurementsfor this specific item provided for you under
