Great Victorian helmet plate / glengarry badge for the 96 Regiment of Foot (later the Manchester Regiment). I bought this and some others as an original for my collection (1878-1881), however, the market for British Victorian cap badges is so full of restrikes (some made well over 100 years ago) that I cannot state for sure when it was made. I will say though that it has a great patina and it is quite old and certainly looks original. I ended up with a pair and I am selling one of them. At any rate, I have priced it accordingly. 7cm X 4.5 cm (2 3/4\" X 1 3/4\"). Actual item photographed using my iPhone. As a result, the colour may vary slightly as a result of the lighting at the time. Listed in Canadian dollars. On .ca)No surprises upon checkout.
