This is a superb AmethystQuartz Point on matrix. SUPER Nice gemmy crystal! I\'ve been digging in South Carolina for amethyst for 10 years strong and this is the single best gemmy piece I\'ve seen or found! I\'ve found more striking purple color but not this gemmy especially sitting on matrix, its unheard of!! The tip is not damaged, it grew into the matrix and show a piece of feldspar that stuck right on the tip. This is one of the top pieces of amethyst I\'ve found in the last 10 years of my digging career for sureIt is from the Ellis Mine in Due West South Carolina. I\'ve been helping the owner to relocate the vein, its still currently closed to the public.
