This pair of sleeve ruffles are in the finest muslin and hand embroidered. They date from about 1780.They are gatherted full, but will need a fresh band fitted. This should be done with antique linen or cotton if possible.The condition is very good apart from the missing band, and they drape beautifully.They measure 8 1/2\" deep at the widest point. A lovely, typically 18th century simple sleeve accessory.
