A Don Petitt for Knoll, Bent Wood 1105 Chair. 1969. George Nelson Partner. RARE:
$695.00

Close your eyes for a moment and picture in your mind a bentwood swivel chair manufactured by Knoll International that you\'ve only seen in magazine ads for Knoll from the late 1960\'s, but never sat in or seen in real life. Now your thinking, \"He\'s not talking about that former partner of George Nelson, Don Petitt, and his scarce 1105 swivel chair made in 1969 where there\'s like, *six known to to exist. Is he?\"
*(Hypothetical figure. There may actually be fewer).Yes, he is.He\'s talking about that chair (and the guy who designed that chair). You know, the chair seen in that photo flanked by two 1105 armchairs, but never in real life.Like Bigfoot, or Emily Dickinson.Now. Open your eyes.Yes. I know it\'s still a stupid photo. But it\'s a stupid photo of the actual chair that I\'m sitting on right now as I write this.That\'s right. It\'s your butt that can be comfortably cradled in Mid-Century Modern scarcity, instead of mine.It\'s you that can be the envy of the office as that over-worked guy sitting next to you asks, \"Say, isn\'t that the inordinately rare Don Petitt designed 1105 bent oak wood swivel chair on Danish castors the movie stars are all talking about?\" As you selfishly embrace it with both arms whilst tearfully screaming, \"Don\'t touch it! It\'s mine!\"You\'ll make friends faster than John Henry lays track. But I digress. In all seriousness, this is a scarce chair. You\'ll not find another...unless you already have one. Even if you do have one, or know where there is one, I doubt it\'s in similar or better condition as the one whos seat fabric is, with great efficacy, filtering the invisible remnants of this evenings lamb and Brussels Sprout Vindaloo. But you needn\'t worry at all.It was an excellent Vindaloo. And I\'m wearing pants. This time.

It is all original, right down to the aforementioned Danish castors. (see photo)It also tilts back, and has a tension adjustment nut.No damage.
No odor.
Very minor use.It still retains it\'s Knoll International Inc. manufacturers label, with a green Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry stamp, in mint condition.Museum quality condition.Measurements:33.5\" height (at back rest)
26\" height (at arms)
24\" wide (at arms)
25\" deepWeight:35.2 lbs
Shipping includes delivery confirmation tracking & insurance.I ship very fast.
I pack very well.Cheers!
